Dolores M. Green, 82, passed away at 6:20 p.m. Monday, August 24, 2009 at Hitz Memorial Home in Alhambra.
She was born March 13, 1927 in Edwardsville to Earl and Mayme Esther (Fromm) Opel.
Her marriage to Charles P. Green took place Oct. 5, 1946 in Wood River. He preceded her in death on Aug. 22, 1991.
She is survived by a daughter, Cheryl Green of Ferguson, Mo.; a son, Gary Green of California; three grandchildren, Craig, Troy and Tim; and a brother, Mervin "Bud" Opel of Jeffersonville, Ind.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents.
Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 27 at Paynic Home for Funerals in Rosewood Heights, where Pastor Lori Schafer will officiate at services at 10 a.m. Friday, Aug. 28.
Interment will be at Rose Lawn Memory Gardens in Bethalto.
Memorials may be made to the Activity Room at Hitz Memorial Home or a charity of one's choice.
