Everett D. Langdon, 76, died Wednesday, August 12, 2009 at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, MO.
Born April 30, 1933 in Vista, MO, he was the son of Fred Leroy and Ina (Allen) Langdon. He retried from McDonnell-Douglas after 42 years of service from the sheet metal assembly department. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War and was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses. On December 26, 1957 in Alton, he married the former Margorie Louise Recknagel. She survives. Also surviving are numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Emmett Lee and Orval William Langdon, and two sisters; Myrtle Lucille Ridder, and Marie Evelyn Fritckey.
Memorial services will be at 11:00 a.m. Saturday at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses in Alton. Marion Greene will officiate. Memorials may be made to the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses. Gent Funeral Home in Alton is in charge of arrangements.
