Carol J. Dhermy, 75, passed away at 4:40 p.m. Saturday, July 25, 2009 at Alton Memorial Hospital.
Born Sept. 28, 1933 in St. Louis, she was the daughter of Karl and Marie (Muin) Puto.
She married John F. Dhermy Sept. 6, 1958 in Livingston. He survives.
A key punch operator, she worked for Shell Oil for 10 years in addition to being a loving homemaker.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by two daughters and a son-in-law, Cheryl McIntire of Alton and Dr. Jackie S. and Tom Fantes of Middletown, R.I.; two grandchildren, William McIntire and his wife Niki and Megan Fantes; one great grandson, Nickolas; and a brother and sister, Edmund and Alice Delahanty of Cary, N.C.
Visitation will be 4-7 p.m. Thursday, July 30 at Paynic Home for Funerals in Rosewood Heights, where Father Tom Liebler will officiate services at 10 a.m. Friday, July 31.
Interment will be at Staunton City Cemetery in Staunton.
Memorials may be made to the Parkinson's Disease Foundation.
