Jacqueline F. Sexton, 79, passed away at 7:39 p.m. Sunday, July 19, 2009 at Alton Memorial Hospital.
Born Feb. 19, 1930 in St. Louis, she was the daughter of Carl and Mary (Weiss) Smith.
A homemaker, she married Kenneth L. Sexton March 17, 1951 in St. Louis. He passed away June 30, 2007.
She was a member of the Wood River Christian Church, Order of Eastern Star, and the South Roxana Fire Department Auxiliary.
She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Carla Jo and Robert Sticht of Tucson, Ariz.; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Tim and Carrie Sexton of Worden and Kenneth Sexton, Jr. of South Roxana; 3 grandchildren, Caden Sexton, Josh Sticht and his wife Mandy, and Casey Sticht and his wife Natalee; one great grandchild Cadence Sticht; and a brother, Douglas Smith of Alton.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents.
Visitation will be 4-7 p.m. Sunday, July 26 at Paynic Home for Funerals in Rosewood Heights, where services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, July 27.
Interment will be at Wanda Cemetery in South Roxana.
Memorials may be made to the charity of one's choice.
