William T. Huebner, 78, passed away 11:10 am Friday July 10, 2009 at St. Anthony's Heath Center in Alton.

He was born July 29, 1930 in Alton to the late William J. and Marie (Duffy) Huebner.

William was an Ironworker for the local union 454 in Casper, Wyoming and served in the US Army.

He enjoyed fishing, loved Springer Spaniels, especially his #1 son Leroy.

William is survived by three children and daughters-in-law, William & Julie Maggos of Isla Morada, FL; Mark A. & Meladee Maggos of Godfrey, Dan R. & Laurie Maggos of Anna, IL; five grandchildren and spouses, Jesse & Peggy Maggos, Sarah & Will Black, Benjamin & Julie Maggos, and Adam and Alex Maggos; five great grandchildren, one brother and sister-in-law, Richard & Vi Huebner of Wood River; one sister, Jean Fritsch of Lebanon; several nieces and nephews, Rick & Jodie Huebner, Donna & Ronnie Eaker and Lisa & Chris Hopkins.

In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by a daughter, Theresa A. Maggos and two grandchildren, Theresa & Danielle Maggos.

Cremation rites have been accorded and memorial services will be private.

Memorials may be made to the Nature Institute, 2213S. Levis Lane, Godfrey, IL 62035.

Staten-Fine Funeral Home in Alton is in charge of arrangements.
