James Tucker

James F. Tucker, 88, passed away Thursday, June 25, 2009 at his home.
Born Jan. 3, 1921 in Pulaski County, Ark.

He was the son of Fred H. and Rosalee (Wilkins) Tucker.
He married Glenda M. Worthy Feb. 14, 1948 in Roxana. She passed away May 21, 2009.

A member of Roxana Church of the Nazarene, he also was a U.S. Coast Guard veteran of World War II.
Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, Randy and Carol Tucker of Pensacola, Fla. and Brian and Teresa Tucker of Raleigh, N.C.; six grandchildren and their spouses, Nicholas Tucker, Lauren Tucker, Jason and Mary Tucker, Autumn and Thomas Martinage, Michael Tucker, and Amber Tucker; one great-grandchild, Natalie Isabelle Martinage; and two brothers, Troy and Charles Tucker, both of Little Rock, Ark.

In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by his parents; and five sisters.

Visitation will be 4-7 p.m. Sunday, June 28 at Paynic Home for Funerals in Rosewood Heights, where Rev. Dr. Larry Lacher will officate services at 10 a.m. Monday, June 29.
Burial will follow at Rose Lawn Memory Gardens in Bethalto.
Memorials may be made to the Roxana Church of the Nazarene.
