Jean Lacquement

Jean F. Lacquement, age 79, passed away at 10:55 p.m. on Thursday, January 8, 2009 at University Nursing and Rehab in Edwardsville.

He was born on September 9, 1929 in Collinsville, IL, the son of Frank & Verna (Dawson) Lacquement.

He married Barbara Boelhauf on May 1, 1975 in Florissant, MO. She survives.

He was a bus driver instructor Bi State Transit in St. Louis, Missouri. He owned and operated a clock and watch repair service in Bethalto called "Bethalto Clock Works". He was a member of Cornerstone Assembly of God in Bethalto and the National Watch and Clock Association. He loved to fish, go antique shopping, refinish furniture, woodworking and restore old houses.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by 2 daughters and a son-in-law, Sharon & Jerry Martin of Fairview Heights and Laura Jenkins of Collinsville; 2 step daughters and a spouse, Teri Mack of Godfrey and Sheri & David Bunch of Kansas City, MO; his grandchildren, Benjamin Lacquement, Joshua Michael, Danielle Lacquement, Christopher Jenkins, Derek Jenkins; his step grandchildren, Christopher Aldridge, Erika Aldridge and Olivia Bunch and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a son, Kevin Lacquement and a sister, Helen Masters.

In celebration of his life, a memorial visitation will be at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 31, 2009 at Cornerstone Assembly of God Church in Bethalto with Pastor Phil Schneider officiating.

Memorials may be given to BJC Hospice.
