Lois M. Knottnerus, age 93, formally of Alton, passed away at 9:45 p.m. on Thursday, August 28, 2008 at West Haven Nursing Home in Stillwater, Oklahoma.
She was born in White Hall, IL on April 8, 1915, the daughter of George Leonard and Pearl (Chandler) Moles.
Lois married John H. Knottnerus on August 19, 1939, in White Hall, IL. He preceded her in death on May 14, 1999.
Lois was a devoted wife and homemaker. She was a member of the Upper Alton Baptist Church for 70 years.
She is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Drs. J ?David? & Frederique Knottnerus of Stillwater, OK.
Lois was preceded in death by her parents, spouse, two brothers and five sisters.
Graveside service will be at 11:00 am, Tuesday, September 2, 2008, at the Upper Alton Cemetery, Alton, IL with the Rev. Brad Donoho officiating.
Memorials may be made to the Upper Alton Baptist Church Scholarship Fund or charity of one's choice.
