Former East Alton resident, Elizabeth R. Peeler passed away on Saturday, February 9, 2008 in Kirkland, WA.
She was 88 years old and had lived in Washington for the last eight years. She was born in Coulterville, IL on June 30, 1919, the eighth of ten children born to William R. and Elizabeth M. Lawless. She was the last survivor of her family.
She was a longtime manager of the Glik's Store in East Alton. She was the wife of Blaine Peeler who predeceased her in 1988. Prior to her move to Washington State, she had resided in the East Alton area for over 50 years. .
Mrs. Peeler is survived by her sons, Larry & Ronald Peeler, their wives, Eileen & Mary Ann, five grandchildren and nine great grandchildren, all living in Washington.
A memorial service and inurnment will take place at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, May 17, 2008 at Rose Lawn Memory Gardens in Bethalto.
