Grace B. Schiber, age 90, of Maryville, IL, born March 29, 1932, in Troy, IL, passed away surrounded by her family on May 26, 2022.
Grace was the former owner of the Lolli Pop Shoppe in Collinsville and was also employed as a jewelry sales representative at the Jewel Box in Troy, IL. Those who knew her will remember her beautiful smile. She was a member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church, an avid St. Louis Cardinals fan, and a wonderful mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, who most of all, loved her family.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Stella (nee Riggs) Hultz; her husband, William “Bill” Schiber, whom she married on August 28, 1949, a great-grandchild, Connor Moore; son-in-law Bill Earlin; and two sisters and two brothers.
She is survived by a son, Bill (Debbie) Schiber of Highland, IL; a daughter, Barbara Earlin of Maryville, IL; 5 grandchildren: Dawn (Fred) Campbell, Katie (Jake) Libbra, Jenny (Jerry) Hearn, Suzie (Mike) Moore, and Krissy (Marcus) Manwaring; 14 great-grandchildren; and a brother, Bob (Marie) Hultz of Troy, IL.
Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, May 31, 2022, at Barry Wilson Funeral Home in Maryville, IL.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, June 1, 2022, at Barry Wilson Funeral Home, with Rev. Kyle Wright officiating. Burial will be in St. John's Cemetery in Collinsville, IL.
Memorials are suggested to Holy Cross Lutheran Church and will be received at the visitation or may be mailed to Barry Wilson Funeral Home, 2800 N. Center Street, Maryville, IL 62062.
