Jeffery Partridge

Jeffery Eugene Partridge, 59, died at 1:39 p.m., Tuesday, April 26, 2022, at Christian Hospital Northeast in St. Louis County, Missouri. 

He was born in Alton, Illinois on August 16, 1962, and was the son of Harold and Judith (Williams) Partridge. 

Jeff graduated in 1980 from Bunker Hill High School and was a United States Army veteran serving during Desert Storm. 

He married the former Angela K. Frye on January 19, 1985, at the Church of the Nazarene in Jerseyville. Shortly after their marriage, he began working with JC Smith Construction in Godfrey. He then enlisted with the United States Army and upon his honorable service, he returned to the construction industry, again with JC Smith. 

He later became employed as a spotter with Lantern in Madison, Illinois, where he remained for 15 years. His most recent employment occurred as a stocker at Wal-Mart in Jerseyville, where he remained until his health began to decline. 

Jeff was extremely proud of his service to his country and was a member of the Jerseyville American Legion Post #492, where he would often be found bartending at numerous events and receptions. He also would volunteer his time to assist with security during the Jersey County Fair. 

Surviving are his wife, Angela Partridge of Jerseyville; his three children, Casey Partridge of East Alton, Ashley Gillespie of Jerseyville, and Jeffery Partridge of Jerseyville; his "adopted" children, Trey Ammons of Alton, and Jacob, and his wife, Tammy Dunse of Jerseyville; five grandchildren, Aiden, Hannah, Elliyonna, Abel and Chelsey; a half brother and his wife, Darren and Ellie Pinson of Salinas, California; a stepbrother, Greg Zimmerman of Delhi; and a step-sister, Sheila. 

He was preceded in death by his son, Jordan Wayne Partridge on May 25, 2006; his father, Harold Partridge; his mother, Judith Pinson; his grandparents who raised him, Irvin Harold and Mary Partridge; three sisters, Angela Pinson, Cynthia Partridge, and Janet Burgess; and his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Robert "Bob" and Winona "Beth" (Tucker) Frye. 

Visitation will take place on Tuesday, May 3, 2022, from 4 p.m. until the time of funeral services at 7 p.m. at Crawford Funeral Home in Jerseyville. Military rites will be provided by the Jerseyville American Legion Post 492 immediately after services. 

Private burial will take place at Oak Grove Cemetery in Jerseyville. 

Memorials may be given to his family in care of the funeral home.
