Louvine J. Sies, 92, of Mt. Olive, Illinois, died at Heritage Health of Gillespie, IL on Monday, March 14, 2022, at 9:34 pm.
She was born April 18, 1929, in Hillsboro, IL to Henry Gieseking & Charlotte (Best) Gieseking. She married Richard J. Sies in June 1947. He preceded her in death on June 8, 1986. She married Darrell Crowe in May 2008.
She was a farmer. Louvine was a member of the Local 88 American Federation of Musicians. She played 6 instruments. She was in the Dick Sies Orchestra. She played in 5 municipal bands, the Blackburn College Band, Prairie Winds Jazz Ensemble,
and Crystal Images Big Band. She was an avid lover of cars and dogs. She was a volunteer at Adopt a Pet and a professional dog groomer. She was a member of the Flying Farmers of America. She enjoyed traveling in the family private plane all over North America. She enjoyed horses and yard work. She loved her grandchildren.
She is survived by her spouse, Darrell Crowe of Mt. Olive, IL, daughters, Pamela E. (Steve) Rademacher of Gillespie, IL, Joann I. Bellm of Gillespie, IL, granddaughters, Anastasia Henderson (fiancé, Wade Harbaugh), Alexandrea Weinberg (companion, Steven Turner), Michele Bellm, (companion, Dennis Miller), great-grandchildren, Kierra (Louis) Gottschall, Richard (Jamie) Henderson, Isaac Weinberg (companion, Alexis Lupkey), Aaron Weinberg (companion, Kelcie Woodring), great-great-grandchildren, Bryant Henderson, Finley Henderson, Oliver Henderson, Forrest Henderson, Dean Cherry, Charlotte Gottschall, and James Louis Gottschall.
Louvine was preceded in death by her parents, first spouse, great-grandson, John Henderson, and grandson-in-law, James Henderson.
Friends may call on Saturday, March 19, 2022, at Kravanya Funeral Home, Gillespie from 10:30 am until 12:30 pm. Funeral services are Saturday, March 19, 2022, at 12:30 pm at Kravanya Funeral Home, Gillespie. Burial will be at Mt. Olive City Cemetery, Mt. Olive, IL.
