Robert Lee White Jr., August 29, 1956 - January 15, 2022
Mr. Robert White, Jr. was born in Henderson, Tennessee on August 29, 1956, to Mr. Robert Lee White Sr. and Mrs. Ida Mae White. Robert transitioned from labor to reward on January 15, 2022. He was blessed with 65 wonderful years old. Robert lived a life full of purpose and dedication to all that he met. He was so many things to so many people. To some, he was known as Brother White. To others, he was Junior or Cousin, but to most, he was known as June-bug.
Robert was a faithful member of Oakwood Church of God in Christ under the Leadership of Pastor Roosevelt Reed. His contributions to the Men's Auxiliary afforded him to be the hands and feet of Jesus. He was known for extending spiritual enrichment, training, education, and fellowship. He was equally devoted to the Single’s Ministry. His faith and commitment to the Singles Ministry was proven to be remarkable, faithful, fruitful, multiplying, and lending to his walk with God. Robert strived to be principally and undividedly devoted to God in his life. He whole-heartedly adhered to Paul's admonition in 1 Corinthians 7: "a married man does what is right, but a single man does what is better." In addition to his spiritual walk, he loved playing cards and hanging out with family and friends.
Robert is survived by the loving community of Alton, his sister(s) Laurene Priddy, Maurene Priddy , & Darlene White of Henderson, TN and Gloria Revere of Indianapolis, IN, long time care giver Andrea (Richard) Harris, a slew of nieces and nephews, cousins, church family, and friends. Robert was preceded in death by his parents, Mr., and Mrs. White, one sister, Denise Robinson, His legacy will live on in the hearts and minds of everyone he interacted with as well as those he reached but never met.
