Rose Marie Paddock, 89, of Glen Carbon, Illinois passed away at 11:00 p.m. on Monday, January 10, 2022, at Delmar Gardens South in St. Louis, Missouri.

She was born December 25, 1932, in Edwardsville, a daughter of the late John and Josephine (Spavali) Noto.

She married Van Meyer Paddock on May 11, 1957, in Edwardsville and he passed away on May 19, 2007.

She was a loving and faithful homemaker, beloved mother, and cherished grandmother. She was a member of St. Thomas Episcopal Church in Glen Carbon. She enjoyed her days of playing cards, gin rummy, and pinochle. She loved cooking and was known for her spaghetti and meatballs. She will be remembered for the love and special times shared with her family and friends.

Rose is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Eddie J. and Kathleen Paddock of Houston, Texas; three daughters and sons-in-law, Sherry A. and Dan Compton of Barnhart, Missouri, Diane M. and Bob Jablonowski of Bellville, Texas and Teresa K. and Matt Burke of St. Louis, Missouri; eight grandchildren and spouses, Holly Compton, Ryan and Kimberly Compton, Jake Paddock, Kirsten and Chris Guerra, Ben Paddock, Westin Jablonowski, Kendall Jablonowski, and Quentin and Ashlie Leathers; three great-grandchildren, Hadley Compton, Hudson Compton, and Harlow Leathers; her twin sister, Lena Myers of Waldorf, Maryland; many nieces; nephews; other extended family and friends.

In addition to her beloved husband and parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Vincent Noto and Sal Noto, and a sister, Kay Henderson.

In celebration of her life, visitation will be at Irwin Chapel, 591 Glen Crossing Road in Glen Carbon on Saturday, January 22, 2022, from 9:00 a.m. until the time of funeral service at 11:00 a.m. with Reverend Heather Clawitter officiating. Burial will follow at Glen Carbon City Cemetery in Glen Carbon.

Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association and may be accepted at the funeral home.

The family requests that all in attendance to please wear a face mask.
