Samantha Muir-Hogsed

Samantha Alice Muir-Hogsed, 49, of Staunton, IL, died at Community Memorial Hospital, Staunton, IL on Tuesday, January 4, 2022, at 3:12 pm. 

She was born September 29, 1972, in Granite City, IL to Roy G. Muir & Sharon K. (Denninger) Muir.  She married Donnie Ray Hogsed on September 28, 1987, in Murphy, NC.  He preceded her in death on July 31, 2008.  She was a homemaker.  Samantha enjoyed working on the family tree to find out more about the family history. 

She is survived by her mother, Sharon Denninger Muir (companion, Levi Forrestor) of Litchfield, IL, sons, Marty (Kylie) Hogsed of Benld, IL, Travis Ray (Tabitha) Hogsed of Andrews, NC, grandchildren, Max Hogsed, Briar Hogsed, Kensley Musgrove, Maximus Ray Lee Hogsed, siblings, Ruth Ann Peterson (companion, Eric Harvill) of Gillespie, IL, Adam (Mandy) Muir of Gillespie, IL, J. R. Ewing Muir of Gillespie, IL, nieces and nephews, Richard Muir, Patrick Muir, Alyssa Muir, Donnie Muir, Kayla Hansel, Brittany Hansel, and Chelsea Hansel. 

Samantha was preceded in death by her father, spouse, sisters, Ina Muir and Billie Muir.
