Vicki Wiegand

Vicki A. Wiegand, 76, passed away at 4:10 p.m. Friday, December 24, 2021, at Anderson Hospital in Maryville. 

Born July 26, 1945, in East St. Louis, IL, she was a daughter of Stanley W. and Mary (Wasko) Visnowski. Her parents preceded her in death. 

Vicki married Fred Wiegand on Sept. 2, 1967, in Wood River. They shared 54 years together. She was a very dedicated wife, mother, and grandmother. Her favorite thing was being a grandma to her grandkids and great-grandkids. A devout Catholic, Vicki was a member of Our Lady Queen of Peace parish in Bethalto. She was an amazing cook who loved to play Bingo and watch the St. Louis Cardinals play baseball. She also loved her puppy Tori. 

In addition to her husband Fred, she is survived by two daughters, Kim (Chris) White of Roxana and Ann (Jeff) Payne of Moro; 3 grandchildren, Stephanie (Keenan) Eberlin, Steven (Cindy) White, and Joey Payne; 3 great-grandchildren, Charlie Eberlin, Waylon Eberlin, and Wiley White; a sister, Geri Ressler of Knoxville, TN; two brothers, Stanley Visnowski, Jr. of Melbourne, Australia and George Visnowski of Bolingbrook, IL; a sister-in-law, Marilyn (Floyd) Bowers of Jerseyville; and nieces and nephews. 

Memorial visitation will be 4-7 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 30 at Paynic Home for Funerals. Father Tom Liebler will celebrate a memorial Mass at Our Lady Queen of Peace Catholic Church in Bethalto at 10 a.m. on Friday, Dec. 31. 

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Our Lady Queen of Peace.
