Samantha “Sam” Flannery, 37, of Edwardsville, Illinois passed away at 10:21 p.m. on Tuesday, December 14, 2021, at Barnes Hospital in St. Louis. She was born February 21, 1984, in Fort Carson, Colorado.
She enjoyed her skill of work as a massage therapist. Sam loved her family and cherished times spent with her children and grandchildren. She enjoyed hula hooping and had the biggest heart for others. She always shared a big smile, was always outgoing in life, and loved giving and helping others.
She is survived by her children, Madison Flannery of Edwardsville and Gabriel Eitzmann of Edwardsville; two grandchildren, Landon Flannery and Khalani Watts; her mother and stepfather, Monika and Mark LaBlance of Edwardsville; a brother, Joshua (Abby) Flannery of Marion, Indiana; two nephews, Isaac and Roman; stepsister, Heather (Brian) Courtney of Glen Carbon; three stepbrothers, Randy LaBlance of Troy, Travis (Sabrina) LaBlance of Edwardsville and William (Kalli) Best of Troy; many other nieces; nephews; cousins; aunts; uncles; other extended family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her father, Timothy Flannery, and her grandparents, Berndhard and Louise Buschhardt, Robert and Mildred Flannery, and Robert and Maggie LaBlance.
In celebration of her life, a memorial gathering will be held at Irwin Chapel, 591 Glen Crossing Road in Glen Carbon on Monday, December 20, 2021, from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m.
Memorials may be made to the family and may be accepted at the funeral home.
