Dawn Stamper

Bunker Hill |

Dawn Pilgrim Stamper, 80, born February 19, 1941, to Mr. and Mrs. D. E. Pilgrim in Ipswich, England, went to be with her Lord and Savior on October 5, 2021.

She was nicknamed Effie after her loving mother. Dawn enjoyed live music, dancing, ceramics, anything British, and a tasty Vidalia Onion. Dawn was a beloved Christian mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, and aunt. Despite her many life challenges, Dawn was determined and dedicated to rearing her three children, Thomas, Tonia (John), and Tony (Kari). She was always showering her grandchildren with hugs and kisses. Ashley, Victoria, Jennifer, Katie, Dorian, and Lexi never doubted their Nana's love for them. Dawn always smiled big and laughed hard when hearing of her great-grandchildren's adventures: Wyatt, Remi, Olive, and Jackson. Dawn is also survived by her sister and best friend, Jill Cole of Perry GA, loving brothers, Roy Pilgrim and Keith Pilgrim both of England.

Dawn was preceded in death by her mother and father, two brothers, and dear friend, Alan, and her family is comforted during this time by knowing she is celebrating in heaven alongside them.

Dawn would want those of us remaining to remember, "I love you" and "I'm Alright!" No public services will be held. Anyone wishing to send an online condolence may do so at www.kravanyafuneral.com.  Kravanya Funeral Home, Bunker Hill, IL is in charge.
