Larry L. Ringering, 68, passed away 10:04 pm, Thursday, February 11, 2021 at Anderson Hospital in Maryville.
Born December 29, 1952 in Alton, he was the son of Lucien and Marjorie (Eades) Ringering.
Larry served on the fire department for the Village of East Alton, retiring as Fire Chief, then became the Coordinator/Director for Madison County Emergency Management Office.
On July 24, 1987 in Edwardsville, he married Jan Paisley. She survives.
Surviving also are a daughter, Julie (Jed) Downs of East Alton; daughter-in-law, Allison Ringering of Godfrey; seven grandchildren, Jaden, Jerald, Jolene and Jackie Downs, Nora, Elaina and Logan Ringering; brothers, Clint Ringering of Holiday Shores, Allan Ringering of Collinsville, twin, Jerry (Debbie) Ringering of Maryville; sisters, Mary Meile in Florida, Sharon (Todd) Reller of Staunton; and special, extended family members, Chris Stratton, his wife, Rachel, and their children, Landon and Levi.
He was preceded in death by his parents; son Jake Ringering; brother, Ed Ringering; and sister, Ina Kay Davis.
Private memorial services will be conducted Tuesday at Marks Mortuary in Wood River. Rev. Steve Disney will officiate.
