Frank "Dave" Plummer

Jerseyville |

Frank David "Dave" Plummer, 73, died suddenly at 1:19 a.m., Tuesday, February 9, 2021 in the emergency room at Jersey Community Hospital in Jerseyville.

He was born in Alton, Illinois on April 5, 1947, one of three children born to the late Francis Gerald and Shirley Maxine (Hodge) Plummer.

Dave was an avid outdoorsman, enjoying hunting, especially duck hunting, and fishing. He still had every one of his duck stamps since the age of 16. He also enjoyed vacationing, and He and Rhonda spent many winters at South Padre Island, Texas.

He was of the Catholic faith, and was a 4th Degree Knights of Columbus member in Jerseyville, and was a member of both the Grafton American Legion Post #648 and the VFW in Godfrey.

He married the former Rhonda Kay Flatt on October 9, 1992 in Grafton, and they have shared the last 28 years together.

Surviving are his wife, Rhonda Plummer of Jerseyville; his two children and their spouses, Kelly and Jason Rowling of Grafton and Kyle and Stephanie Plummer of Alton; two step-sons and their spouses, Zachary and Taylor Beck of Portage des Sioux, Mo., and Cody and Caitlin Beck of Brighton; nine grandchildren, Abby and Jeremy Rowling, Morgan, Hailey, Avery and Maggie Plummer, Shane and Mallory Beck and Jaxson Beck; and two sisters, Margaret Gallegos of Jerseyville and Nancy Wendle of Godfrey.

Burial will be in Scenic Hill Cemetery in Grafton, with the Grafton American Legion Post #648 conducting military graveside rites.
