Mary Vincent

Mary F. Vincent, 87, died at 11:14 a.m. Saturday, November 28, 2020 at Alton Memorial Rehab.  Born April 20, 1933 in Oneonta, NY, she was the daughter of Donald and Lois (Watkins) Vincent.  Mary retired after 40 years as a schoolteacher.  She was a member of SS Peter & Paul Catholic Church in Alton where she was served as a member of the Ladies Club and was the RCIA Coordinator.  She was the office coordinator at St. Louis Children's Hospital for 10 years.  Mary served her church and her community.  Surviving is a sister, Helen Sands of Alton, a sister-in-law, Patti Vincent of Mesa, AZ, nieces and nephews; Richard Vincent, CA, Betsy Vincent, CA, Thomas Vincent, AZ, Kathleen Brown, IL, Mark Brown, Virginia Beach, VA, and Karen Vincent, TX as well as numerous great nieces and nephews, and many friends and neighbors. 

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Charles Vincent and a sister, Patricia Cardillo and dear friend, Marge Kaspar.  Visitation will be from 8:00 a.m. until 9:30 a.m. Wednesday, December 2, 2020 at Gent Funeral Home in Alton following by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. at SS Peter & Paul Catholic Church in Alton.  The family requests that face masks be worn during the visitation and Mass.  Father Jeff Holtman will officiate.  Burial will be at St. Patrick's Cemetery in Godfrey.
