Margaret Peters, 97 of Kampsville, IL formerly of Granite City, IL passed away peacefully on Monday, October 26, 2020 at Elmwood Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Maryville.
Margaret was born on October 3, 1923 in St. Louis, MO; the daughter of the late Ferdinand and Kathryn (Thorpe) Arbeiter. Margaret was a secretary for Steele Realty and in her free time she enjoyed her days spending time with her family and friends.
Margaret is survived by and will be missed by her husband; Harvey Peters; son, Ron Butler; step son, Gary Peters; step daughter, Christi and John Courtwright; grandchildren, Lindsey, Megan (Nathan), Justin; great-grandchildren, Lennox, Lakota, Mariah, Nash, Tyson and many other close family members and friends.
Margaret was preceded in death by all of her brothers and sisters.
In celebration of Margaret’s life, graveside services will be held on Thursday, October 29, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. at Sunset Hill Memorial Estates in Glen Carbon with Pastor Ron McGrew officiating. Irwin Chapel, 3960 Maryville Road is serving the family.
