Antoinette 'Toni' Jeanine Richards, 58, passed away at 10:30 p.m., Wednesday, April 22, 2020 at her residence with her family by her side.
Toni was born May 25, 1961 in Alton. She was a daughter of the late Anthony and Nancy Lee (Tharp) DiPasquale and step-mother, Carol (Dixon) DiPasquale.
Toni had last worked in the activity department at the University Care Center in Edwardsville. She retired December 26, 2019 after 9 years of service.
Toni loved her family and friends, spending time with them always brought her joy and when it came to her grandchildren well, they held her heart. She was a cheerful, fun loving soul that loved life and enjoyed playing bingo and cards.
Survivors include Toni's Fiance, Gary Force, one daughter, Elizabeth Richards and Marcus Gay of Rock Island, IL; one son, Christopher Richards and Stephanie (Ervin) of Wood River; four grandchildren, Trichelle Gay, Marcus Gay, Jr. and Jaxon Gay all of Rock Island, Magnolia Richards of Wood River; two sisters, Tracy Reynolds of Wood River, Maria Pritchard and James, Sr. of Wood River; one step-sister, Dawn Voss of Alton; two step-brothers, Donald Dixon of Greenfield, Dale Dixon of Godfrey.
Besides her parents and step-mother, Toni was preceded in death by one sister, Karen Flinn and one brother, Bob Dyer.
Because of the Covid-19 pandemic, we feel it is in the best interest of our family and friends to have the celebration of our mother's life at a later date. When we are able to gather again, we will announce a time and place. Until then, please remember us in your thoughts and prayers.
Toni touched many souls. She will be sadly missed. Gone but never forgotten. We love you! Rest in peace.
