Paul Wheeler Madewell, 72, of Madison, IL, passed away Wed. Mar. 4, 2020 at his home.

He was born Apr. 5, 1947 in Muskogee, OK to the late Pete Madewell and Alma (Loftis) Adams.

The U.S. Army veteran retired as a self-employed flooring contractor.

He is survived by 3 daughters: Paula (Mark) Leckrone of Centralia, IL, Goldie (Scott) Young of Erie, PA and Shelia (Michael Mandeville) Madewell of Caseyville, IL; a son: Charles Madewell of Cahokia, IL; 5 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; 5 sisters: Sharold Yount of St. Louis, MO (formerly of Granite City, IL), Retha Richmond of Alton, IL, Kimberly Applegate of Litchfield, IL, Tina Gancheff of Granite City, IL and Jacqueline Wasson of Dallas, TX; and his former spouse: Robin Hart of Cahokia, IL.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother: Bobby Madewell; and his companion: Nadene Hannel.

A funeral procession will leave Wojstrom Funeral Home & Crematory at Noon Fri. 3/13/2020 for graveside services with military honors at 1:00 p.m. at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery.
