August 'Gus' Stanley Wallendorf, 63, passed away at 1:42 A.M. on Monday, November 4, 2019 at Calhoun Nursing and Rehab in Hardin.
He was born January 23, 1956 to Rodney and Irene (Sievers) Wallendorf.
August married Kathleen Becker at St. Anslems in Kampsville on October 29, 1977.
He was a member of St. Barbara's Catholic Church in Batchtown, 10 year member for Calhoun Unit 40 School Board, a member of the Batchtown Sportsmen Club, and a volunteer fireman for Richwood Fire District. He worked 38 years for Millstone Bangert/Weber as a carpenter. He was an avid hunter, he loved duck hunting, turkey hunting with his grandchildren, and he loved spending time with his grandchildren and family
August is survived by his wife Kathleen; three sons, August 'Gus' (Stacey) Wallendorf II, Brandon (Melissa) Wallendorf, and Andrew (Allysun) Wallendorf; his mother Irene Wallendorf; two brothers, Bernie (Carrie) Wallendorf and Bradley (Paula) Wallendorf; two sisters, Lisa (Keith) Roth and Hope (Keith) Klocke; seven grandchildren, Drayden, Drew, Easton, Aubrey, Maddy, Riggs, and Calvin; numerous nieces and nephews; and his in-laws, Ralph Becker Jr., Roger (Annett) Becker, and Darrell (Anne) Becker.
He was preceded in death by his father, Rodney Wallendorf; mother and father-in-law, Ralph and Opal Becker; brother-in-law, Danny Becker; and sister-in-law, Judy Becker.
Visitation Wednesday November 6, 2019 from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Gress, Kallal, and Schaaf Funeral Home in Hardin.
Funeral Mass will be Thursday November 7, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Barbara's Catholic Church in Batchtown.
Burial will follow at St. Barbara's Cemetery in Batchtown.
