Virginia Edna Rose, 86, passed away Monday September 3, 2018 at Jersey Community Hospital.
She was born on July 15, 1932 in Golden Eagle, the daughter of Walter & Rose (Topmeyer) Kinder Sr.
Virginia married Jerome Joseph Rose on October 21, 1950 in Brussels. He survives.
She was a member of St. Mary’ Catholic Church in Brussels, helped her husband on the farm, and was a great cook and cooked at Kinder’s Restaurant.
In addition to her husband, Jerome; she is also survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Jean & Tom Nolte of Highland, three sons and daughters-in-law, Gary & Diana Rose of Hardin, IL, Alan & Paula Rose of Troy, IL, and Neil & Tracy Rose of Golden Eagle; twelve grandchildren and spouses, Carla (Jason) Baublitz, Mike (Nicki) Nolte, Matt (Erin) Nolte, Bradley (Anna) Rose, Lisa (Jesse) Klaas, Christopher Rose, Jennifer (Kyle) Eilerman, Heather Rose, Allison (Brett) Greenwell, Eric, Keaton and Carter Rose; fifteen great grandchildren, Austin and Tyler Baublitz, Victor, Evan, Wesley and Collin Nolte, Bradley, William, Emma and Nicolas Rose, Grant and Owen Klaas, Brantley Rose, and Blake and Brynlyn Eilerman; one sister, Doris “Dot” Weishaar, one brother and sister-in-law, Walter “Sonny” & Gerry Kinder Jr. and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by a sister, Helen Schulte and a granddaughter, Stacy Diane Rose.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 pm Wednesday, September 5, 2018 at Gress, Kallal & Schaaf Funeral Home in Brussels
A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 am Thursday, September 6, 2018 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Brussels with Fr. Don Roberts celebrant.
Interment will follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Brussels.
