Anna L. Farmer, 82, died Monday, April 23, 2018 at Christian Hospital Northeast. Born July 4, 1935 in Brighton, she was the daughter of John E. and Emma Lena (Kuehnel) Farmer. Anna retired in 1997 as a fork lift driver for Vijon ‘s Laboratory in St. Louis, MO. She was the first woman fork lift driver at her company. She enjoyed playing cards, going to the casino and collecting horse figurines and spending time with her special friends Pearl and Samantha. Surviving is a brother, John J. Farmer, a sister, Dorothy McCauley, and a niece, Lena Randall. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Harry, George and Herman Farmer, and four sisters, Marie Anders, Mary Ellen Wieland, Jessie Huber and Viola McCauley. Visitation will be from 5:00-8:00 p.m. Thursday, April 26, 2018 at Gent Funeral Home in Alton where funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. Friday, April 27, 2018.
