Harry A. Logan Jr., age 86, of Bethalto, passed away Saturday, April 21, 2018, at his daughter's home in Hamel, IL surrounded by his family.He was born October 26, 1931, in St. Louis, MO, the son of Harry A.,Sr and Ednamae Flynn Logan. He married his beloved wife, Helen Irene Shy on March 17, 1962 in St. Louis, and she preceded him in death in 2002.Harry was a US Army combat veteran who served in the Korean War. He was a Maintenance Supervisor for the US Postal Service Bulk Mail Center in Florissant, Mo. until his retirement in 2002. Harry was an avid Cardinals fan and was proud to be known as an original member of “The Knothole Gang.” He was active in the Bethalto Boy’s Club for many years. He was a member of Our Lady Queen of Peace Catholic Church in Bethalto. Harry loved to spend time with his family.He is survived by three children and their spouses, Donna and Larry Masters of Hamel, Mark and Kelly Logan of Riverside, CA, and Scott Logan of St. Louis; seven grandchildren and their spouses, April and Chad Bollman, Angela and Robert Wallace, Stephen January, Jessica Logan-Yankee, Nolan Logan, Beverly Logan and Natalia Logan; seven great-grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends.In addition to his beloved wife, Helen; he is preceded in death by his parents; and two sisters, Virginia Patton and Edna Hammerschmidt.Visitation will be held Wednesday, April 25, 2018, from 4:00 to 8:00 pm at Elias, Kallal and Schaaf  Funeral Home in Bethalto.A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Thursday, April 26, 2018, at 10:00 am at Our Lady Queen of Peace Catholic Church with Fr.
