Donna Radine Rowe, 84 of Godfrey passed away Saturday, April 14, 2018 at Christian North East Hospital.
She was born on October 17, 1933 in Woodville Township, Greene County, IL. Donna loved to journal and write poems, but her passion was spending time at the church camp ground. She loved her church family and never met a stranger.
Donna married Everett Rowe on November 13, 1948 in Winchester, IL; he preceded her in death on November 7, 2008.
The loving mother is survived by two sons and daughters in law, Danny and Carmen Rowe of Godfrey and Gary and Darlene Rowe of East Alton, daughter and son in law, Sharon and Ronald Waggoner of Godfrey. She was “funny grandma” to nine grandchildren, Stacey (Dave) Ellis, Dody (Jerrry) Vonderheidt, Tina Rowe, Crystal Rudd, Jenni (Dale) Beck, Melody Malone, Mandi Rowe, Michael (Samantha) Rowe and Megan (Jake) Flowers; twenty four great grandchildren and five great great grandchildren with one on the way.
Also surviving, are a baby brother and sister in law, John (Charlotte) Tillery;
Besides her husband she was preceded in death by her father, Earnest J. Tillery; mother, Lavina (Walk) Antrobus; daughter, Debra Gilbert and two brothers, Donald and Ronald Tillery.
Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Monday, April 16, 2018 and will continue at 10 a.m. until the time of services at noon, Tuesday at Gospel Tabernacle in Godfrey with Brother Alfred Daves officiating. Burial will follow at Rose Lawn Memory Gardens in Bethalto. Paynic Home for Funerals in East Alton entrusted with professional services. Memorials can be made to the Gospel of the Kingdom Campground.
