Robert E. “Bob” Bergesch, 80, died at 1:35 p.m. Tuesday, January 9, 2018 at his home in Alton. Born March 25, 1937 in Alton, he was the son of Earl Bergesch and Wanita (Hubbard) Bergesch Daniels. He retired from Bergesch Heating and Cooling. On August 4, 1956 he married the former Darlene Brown in Alton. She preceded him in death on April 23, 2017. Surviving are two daughters, Susan (Randy) McCord of Alton and Sheril (Jeffrey) Corzine of Alton, two sons, Scott Bergesch of Alton and Samuel (Teresa) Bergesch of Alton. Also surviving are 10 grandchildren, JoAnn Snyder, Molly Westbrook, Maggie McCord, Callie Ruyle, Jason Corzine, Nicholas Corzine, Matthew Corzine, Christine Ash, Brian Bergesch and Samantha Jo Bergesch and nine great-grandchildren. Visitation will be from 4:00-7:00 p.m. Monday, January 15, 2018 at Gent Funeral Home in Alton. Graveside services will be at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, January 16, 2018 at Upper Alton Cemetery.
