Christopher Ervingayle Johnson, 32, died at 9:35 p.m. Thursday, January 4, 2018. Born August 26, 1985 in Alton, he was the son of William and Sharon (Pace) Johnson of Edwardsville. Along with his parents, he is survived by his girlfriend, Nicole Fryman of Jerseyville, one daughter, Kaylynn Brandy Marie Johnson of Jerseyville, and two sons, Brody Christopher Johnson of Jerseyville, and Matthew Allen Johnson of Rosewood Heights. Also surviving are three brothers, James (Elizabeth) Johnson of Jerseyville, William Johnson of Cottage Hills, and Michael (Andrea) Fluck of Brighton, one sister, Michelle (Travis) Swarringin of Godfrey, and several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by grandmothers, Margaret E. Franklin and Shirley Frank, an uncle, George Michael Johnson, and a cousin, Daniel Frank Johnson. A memorial service will be at 6:00 p.m. Thursday, January 11, 2018 at the Bethalto Church of God. Reverend Shea Hughes will officiate. Burial will be private. Memorials may be made to the family.
