Thomas Roy Lowe, 92, of Alton, IL, passed away at 12:50 a.m. Wed. Dec. 27, 2017 at his home surrounded by his family.
He was born Oct. 9, 1925 in Wood River, IL to the late Harry & Bernice (Slaten) Lowe.
Tom was a WWII U.S. Navy veteran serving in Guan and Saipan. He worked for Alton Water Company for 38 years. He was a member of the Alton Moose and loved to fish.
Survivors include 3 sons: Thomas Leroy (Cynthia) Lowe of St. Elmo, IL, Jack Michael (Penny) Lowe of Alton and Steve Lowe of Alton; a step-daughter: Rose Marie Schafer of Hot Springs, AR; 4 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; and a brother: Marvin Lowe of Wood River.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife: Sandra May (Schriner) Lowe; 4 brothers: Bill, Bob, Kenny and Elbert; and 3 sisters: Pauline McDonough, Frances Graziana and Nadine Klunk.
The family will hold a memorial service at 11:00 a.m. Sat. Dec. 30, 2017 at the Alton Moose.
