Michael Shawn Louvier passed into the arms of the Lord on Friday, July 14, 2017, at his residence. He was just 49. Mike was born on May 3, 1968, in Alton, to James Louvier of Carlinville and Wilma “Jean” Herring of Godfrey. Mike had three daughters: Jasmine, Carli, Savannah, and a newborn son: Ryker. He also leaves behind a granddaughter: Nevaeh, a grandson: Kyson, three brothers and two sisters in law: Charley and Shiela Louvier of East Alton, Brian and Tammy Louvier of Godfrey, Timothy Louvier of Carlinville, two step – sisters: Bobbi Steinkuehler and her husband: Ron of Jerseyville, Fran Willenburg of Jerseyville, many niece, nephews, and other extended family and friends.
Mike loved his children very much and had many friends and relatives who will miss him dearly. Mike’s life was cut short by another senseless tragedy that plagues our society today, leaving behind a trail of heartache and pain along its way. For those of us left behind, a hole will forever be in our hearts and he will be missed by all who knew him. Rest in peace our brother, some day we will meet again.
He was preceded in death by his step – father: Robert Herring and a brother in law: Darrel Willenburg.
In celebration of his life, memorial visitation will be from 10am until time of celebration services at 11:30am on Saturday, July 22, 2017, at Greater Alton Church, 506 East Airline Drive, East Alton, Illinois 62024.
