Betty Ruth Graham, 91, passed away 10:50 p.m., Thursday, April 20, 2017 at Rosewood Care Center of Alton.
Born in Gillespie on April 22, 1925, she was the daughter of William H. and Georgia Elizabeth "Beth" (Mount) Knetzer.
She had been a registered nurse for the Olin Corporation, Eldercare and St. Joseph Hospital before retiring. She was also member of the Senior Renewal Group at Alton Memorial Hospital.
On January 5, 1957 in Bethalto, she married John Joseph Graham. He died July 20, 2001.
Surviving are three daughters, Lisa Graham of Chicago; Rita Graham (James O'Brien) of St. Louis, Ruth Graham of Rosewood Heights; five grandchildren; four sisters-in-law; and several nieces and nephews.
Her parents; husband; daughter, Mary Graham; and two brothers and their wives, Jerry and Shirley Knetzer, William M. and Betty Knetzer preceded in death.
Visitation will be from 4-6 p.m. Sunday at Marks Mortuary in Wood River.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. Monday at Our Lady Queen of Peace Catholic Church in Bethalto. Father Tom Liebler will officiate.
Burial will follow in Rose Lawn Memory Gardens in Bethalto.
Memorials may be made to Our Lady Queen of Peace School.
