Arthur Worstell

Arthur Edward Worstell, 69, entered the gates of Heaven at 5:05 a.m. Wednesday, April 19, 2017 at Helia Health Care in Greenville, with his family by his side.He was loved by all and will be sadly missed.

Born September 2, 1947, he was the son of Arthur C. Worstell of highland and the late Emadean (Donaldson) Worstell.

Art and the former Jane Voyles of Sorento were married November 27, 1982 in Panama.

A Navy Veteran, Art worked in assembly for the Ford Motor Company in St. Louis, MO, for 34 years retiring in 2004.

Along with his wife Jane and father Arthur, he is survived by four sons and three daughters-in-law, Douglas and Lisa Worstell of Orlando, FL, David and Jody Worstell of Jacksonville, FL, Mathew and Billie Worstell of Greenville, Kristopher Worstell of Greenville; nine grandchildren, Bailey, Olivia, Jadin, Avery, Grace, Jacob, Austin, Evan, Reece; five sisters, Emily Hulvey of Greenville, Nancy Neer of Greenville, Christine Mauer of Greenville, Dawn Adams of Marshal, Michelle Daniels of Greenville.

Besides his mother, Art was preceded in death by two sisters, Teresa Eller and Becky Butler.

A celebration of Art’s life will be at 12:00 noon until 3:00 p.m., Saturday, April 22, 2017 at Redeemer Baptist Church in Panama.

Services will be at 3:00 p.m. with pastor Jerad File officiating.

Burial will be private.

Memorials may be given to Redeemer Baptist Church in Panama where Art was a very active member.

Gray Funeral Home in Wood River is in charge of arrangements.
