Jeffrey DeClue

Jeffrey Allen DeClue, 61, died unexpectedly at 4:10 p.m., Monday, March 27, 2017 at his residence.He was born in Alton on November 22, 1955, and was the son of Thomas andEulene (Klaus) DeClue.A graduate of Marquette High School in Alton, Jeff was employed as a plumber in the family business, GRP Mechanical in Bethalto, and was a member of the Plumbers and Pipefitters Local #553.He married the former Vallie Marie Johns on January 30, 1982 at the home of her parents in rural Jerseyville, and she survives.He is also survived by a brother & sister in law, Tom & Marie DeClue of Moro; four sisters and brothers in law, Linda Dyson of Fenton, Mo., Diane and Dan Montoya of Colorado, Julie and Pat Eddins of Fenton, Mo., and Sue "Suzy" Lucas of Rosewood Heights; his father in law, Bobby Johns of Jerseyville; and his constant canine companion, Keyser.In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his mother in law, Velma Johns.Visitation will be from 2 p.m. Friday until time of funeral services at 4 p.m. at the Crawford Funeral Home in Jerseyville.   Rev. Steve Pace will officiated.Burial will immediately follow at the Noble Cemetery in Otterville.In lieu of any flowers or plants, memorials may be given to the Riverbend Humane Society
