Nikki Strasen

Nikki Re'chele Strasen, 35, passed away 6:30 a.m., Monday, March 20, 2017 at Alton Memorial Hospital.
Born in Alton on July 8, 1981, she was the daughter of Robert and Carrie (Cobine) Strasen of Rosewood Heights.
Nikki graduated Roxana High School and received her degree from Lewis and Clark Community College in Broadcast Communication. She had worked for the college radio station at Lewis and Clark and for 101.1 FM (The River) in St. Louis. She was a member of not only her biological family, but a family of people she built with her enormous heart. She had an intense passion for music; she followed her own path and truly marched to the beat of her own drum. Nikki never met a stranger and impacted the lives of many with her contagious smile.
Surviving in addition to her parents are a sister, Kirstie M. Strasen (Robert Paul Hyland) of South Roxana; two nephews, Keagan Robert and Trendan Eugene Hyland; and boyfriend, Jon Clark of Alton
A Celebration of Life Memorial visitation will begin at 4 p.m. until time of service at 6:30 p.m., Friday, March 24 at Marks Mortuary in Wood River.
