Suzanne Eagleton

Suzanne E. Eagleton, 51, of Fosterburg, went home to be with her Lord and Savior Saturday, March 18, 2017 at 4:46 p.m. with family by her side.  She was born in Alton on July 4, 1965, the daughter of Jane (Barnett) Kodros of Alton and the late John Kodros.  She married David Eagleton on May 5, 1990 in Alton.  He survives.  She was a faithful and loving wife, mother and grandmother.  She loved her family deeply and loved caring for others and worshiping her Lord Jesus Christ.  Suzy was involved in a soup kitchen program in Alton for many years, as well as several other outreach ministries (public and private) over time.  She loved cooking, gardening, taking care of barnyard and family pets and most of all, spending time with family, neighbors and friends.  Wherever she was she would bring a smile and a listening ear as well as wisdom and compassion that compared with few others.  In addition to her husband David, she is survived by their daughter, Andrea Jordan Eagleton, their son, Jacob Eagleton and two granddaughters, Charlotte Evelynn Bedwell and Paisley Bedwell.  Also surviving is a sister Andrea (Steve) Fox and two brothers, Gus Kodros and A.J. (Sarah) Kodros, many nieces and nephews, her father and mother-in-law, Bill and Kareen Eagleton, her brother-in-law, Tim (Jodie) Eagleton, sister-in-law, Kathy (Dave) Seadler and families, as well as a very large extended family of both Suzy and David.  She was dearly loved by so many and will be remembered and missed forever.  Visitation will be from 4:00-8:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 22, 2017 at Christway Church, 1200 Airport Road, Godfrey, IL, where funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, March 23, 2017.  Reverend Steve Rice will officiate.  Burial will be at Valhalla Memorial Park in Godfrey.  Memorials may be made to Christway Church for outreach ministries.  Gent Funeral Home in Alton is in charge of arrangements.  Online guestbook and information may be found at www.gentfuneralhome.com
