Timothy Sanderson

Timothy E. Sanderson, age 57, of Edwardsville, Illinois died at 2:13 a.m. Friday, February 24, 2017, at Christian Hospital in St. Louis. Timothy was a former district manager for Steak & Shake for over 10 years. He was born March 1, 1959, in Urbana, Illinois the son of the late Irvin E. Sanderson & the late Irene (Brewer) Sanderson Lister. Timothy first married Victoria Galardy on June 28, 1982. She preceded him in death on February 11, 2007. He later married Leslie Foott on July 5, 2013, in Las Vegas, Nevada. Besides his wife Leslie he is survived by 1 son, Gabriel E. Sanderson & wife Emaline of Sunnyvale, California and 1 daughter, Ashleigh Sanderson of Collinsville, Illinois; 2 stepdaughters, Amber Foott Freitag & husband Steve of Edwardsville and Alexandria Wede & husband Aaron of Edwardsville; and 1 stepson, Evan Foott & special friend Cailin Doolin of Edwardsville; 3 beloved grandchildren, Brooklynn Sanderson, Declan Freitag, and Kelsey Wede; 2 brothers, William Sanderson of Troy, Illinois and Kevin Sanderson of Homer, Illinois; and 2 sisters, Laura Kohlmann of Tolono, Illinois and Kim Buskirk of Mahomet, Illinois ; a nephew Dillon Sanderson as well as other nieces & nephews. He loved his dogs, Delia, Navi, Deltron, Jackson, & Miles and his cat, Lyric. Timothy was a major Cubs fan and was thrilled when they won the World Series. He was a member of ABATE of Illinois and a member of Duelists’ Convocation International. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, February 28, 2017, at Weber & Rodney Funeral Home. Following visitation he will be cremated according to his wishes. Memorials may be given to the Metro East Humane Society.
