Janice Wright

Janice Maxine Wright, 75, died at 5:20 a.m. Thursday, January 19, 2017 at Rosewood Care Center in Alton. Born March 4, 1941 in Alton, she was the daughter of G. Wesley Wright Sr. and Adelaide J. (Klinke) Wright. Miss Wright retired from the accounts payable department of the Olin Corporation.  She was a member of the Alton Ladies Auxiliary Knights of Columbus and a former member of the Zonta Club of Alton/Wood River. She is survived by a brother and sister-in-law, Philip and Sharon Wright of St. Louis, MO, a sister and brother-in-law, Carolyn and Paul Duggan of Aurora, CO and numerous nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews as well as special friends including Hope Apple.  Along with her parents she was preceded in death by a brother George Wright Jr. Memorials may be made to the Riverbend Humane Society or a charity of choice.  A memorial service will be at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, January 24, 2017 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Alton.  Father John Paul Klein, OMV will officiate.  Burial will be at St. Joseph’s Cemetery in Alton.  Gent Funeral Home in Alton is in charge of arrangements.  Online guestbook and information may be found at www.gentfuneralhome.com
