Brenda Heitzman

Brenda J. Heitzman, age 75, of Hettick, passed away Sunday, December 11, 2016, at Heritage Manor in Carlinville,She was born August 6, 1941, in Delhi, IL, the daughter of Cletus and Thelma (Cardin) Myers. She married Robert Heitzman on August 6, 1958, and he preceded her in death in 1997.Brenda had worked as an LPN at Pleasant Hill Care in Girard. She had attended Gilead Baptist Church in Hettick. Brenda enjoyed reading, but her greatest joy was spending time with her family.She is survived by two daughters and their husbands, Elizabeth and Dennie Releford of Carlinville, and Sarah and Jack Yule of Hettick; three sisters; a granddaughter and her husband, Sammi and Nathan Damm of Palmyra; and a great-grandson, Bo Damm.In addition to her husband, Robert; she is preceded in death by her parents; and three children in infancy, Scotty, Laura, and Gail.A private family burial will take place at a later date.In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Louis Breast Cancer Coalition or to American Cancer Society.Elias, Kallal and Schaaf Funeral Home in Godfrey is in charge of arrangements.Online condolences and guest book may be found at www.eliaskallalandschaaf.com
