Jason R. “Jay” Stanton, 48, died at 11:23 a.m. on Wednesday, November 30, 2016 at OSF St. Anthony’s Hospital in Alton. He was born July 16, 1968 in Alton the son of William R. “Bob” and Shirley K. (Temple) Stanton. He was a welder and enjoyed racing, NASCAR, football and hockey. On May 5, 2014 in Alton he married Michelle “Mickey” (Means) Stanton and she survives. Also surviving are four children; Joe Hausman (Stephanie) of Prior Lake, Minn, Justin Stanton ( Emma Price) of Alton, Casey Jo Stanton (Elijah Timmermier) of Alton and Corey Johnson of Oregon, his parents, two brothers; John Stanton of East Alton and Joe Stanton (Shannon) of Godfrey, and his mother in law; JoAnn Means of Alton. Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. until time of service at 7:30 p.m. Sunday. Memorials may be made to St. Jude’s Research Hospital.
