Edward L. Hall, 79, of Godfrey, died at 10:32 a.m., Thursday, October 27, 2016 at OSF St. Anthony's Hospital in Alton.
He was born at home on January 29th 1937 in Jersey County to the late Ed and Irene (Stigler) Hall.
He married Judith Griffin on March 16th, 1960 in Elsah Il. She survives.
Ed served his country from 1960 to 1962 in the U.S. Army. He then worked as a laborer for Labor Local 218. He retired in 1992 and started Hall Machine Shop in Godfrey with his son Jeffrey. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, firearms and airplanes. He enjoyed building and tinkering. If he couldn't buy it, he built it.
In addition to his wife Judy he is survived by three childern, Jeffrey Hall of Godfrey, Jill and Charles Whitlock of Eldred and Michael and Amanda Hall of Jerseyville. Two Siblings, Richard Hall of Brighton and Clayton Hall of Godfrey; 12 grandchildern and 4 great grandchildern.
He is proceeded in death by his parents and a brother David Hall.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m., until time of funeral services at 12 noon, Saturday, October 29, 2016 at the Crawford Funeral Home in Jerseyville.
Memorials may be given to the Jerseyville American Legion Post 492 Color Guard.
