James Fassler, 61, passed away on October 19, 2016 at New Hanover Regional Medical .
James was born on February 12,1955 in Ft. Scott Kansas, and was the son of Jimmy Jester and Janice (Baker) Fassler.
James married Linda Dally on September 5, 2010. He worked as a boat cleaner, was a member of First Christian Church, loved motorcycle riding, was a founder of Christian Kajukenbe Ministry, loved sailing, traveling, and most importantly his grandkids. Along with being a member of Ohana Martial Arts, he was inducted in the the USA Martial Arts Hall of Fame.
Along with his wife he is survived by his former wife Jan Fassler; two kids Katie (Josh) Collman, and Lauren (Jeremy) Kleis; three grandchildren Makayla, Chase, and Ava; sister Donna Bordelon; and one brother David Jester.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his sister Jane Baker.
Visitation will be from 2 pm to 6 pm Sunday October 23, 2016 at Elias, Kallal & Schaaf Funeral Home in Bethalto.
Funeral service will be at 10 am Sunday Monday 24,2016 at Elias, Kallal and Schaaf Funeral Home in Bethalto with Pastor Walter McCaslin.
