Mary Herrmann

Mary Herrmann, 94, passed away September 29, 2016 at Eunice Smith Nursing home. She was born December 23, 1921 in Batchtown, IL. She was the daughter of Rutger and Martha (Johnes) Peters. She married Robert Herrmann on October 31, 1953 at the Lutheran Church in Batchtown.  He preceded her in death on August 2, 2007.She retired from the Olin Corporation in the shot shell loading department after working for 37 years and was a 65 year member of I.A.M.  She loved to reminiscence about her childhood, the happy years that she spent with Bob, and her years at Olin. Survivors include her brother-in-law Herbert Hermann, several nieces, nephews, and extended family. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents and siblings, Lenora Cockrell, Dorothy Beisman, Lucille Kisselbach, Henrietta Kuethe, Harvey Peters, Walter Peters, and Rutger Peters Jr. The family would like to thank the staff at Eunice Smith, Dr. Hoelscher, and the BJC Hospice staff for all of their kindness. Per her wishes she will be cremated and private grave side services will be held at a later date.  Paynic Home for Funerals entrusted with professional services.  Online guestbook available at www.paynicfh.com. The family requests that memorials be made to BJC Hospice.
