James Searles

James Derrell Searles was born on July 2, 1977 to Vicki L. (Searles) Williams and the late Roy M. Williams in Alton, Illinois.James graduated from Alton Senior High School in 1994. He attended Wealth Institute of Funeral Services in Houston, Texas where he graduated with honors obtaining an Associates Degree on November 1, 2000.Mr. Searles currently worked at Royal furniture as a general manager, and previously worked at Johnson and Associates with Zach Johnson his brother from another mother.  He loved the Johnson family, and traveled and sailed around the world with them. James was also a member of the Dunbar Lodge number 97 of Alton, Illinois.James D. Searles departed this life on September 25, 2016 at an early age of 39 years. He was preceded in death: by his father, Roy M. Williams; both grandfathers, Harry A. Searles, Jr. and Warren Williams; a grandmother, Joann Searles; four uncles, Harry R. Searles, Roger A. Searles, Raymond A. Searles and Albert M. Searles; and an aunt, Harriett Y. Searles.James leaves to cherish his loving memories, his mother, Vicki L. Williams; two daughters, Ashlynn M. Sundberg of Worden, Illinois and Eva Klopfer Searles of Holiday Shores, Illinois; grandmother, Vivian Williams; three sisters, Tishelle Williams, Vivian(Tony)Hutto both of Atlanta, Georgia, and Christina (Peter) Milen of Alton, Illinois; three brothers, Leon (Latonya) of Tacoma, WA, Roy, II "Morton"(Amy) and Ryon (Bianca) Williams of Alton, IL and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.His special friends/brothers; Tony Kouk, Anthony (Big Man) Womack, Mitchell Bowens, Nate Dettmer, Joel (Chubb) Walker, Rodney Walls and Tyrone Parker.James leaves a legacy of friendship, love and lots of memories.Visitation will convene Friday, September 30 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., and resume Saturday, October 1, 2016 from 9:00 a.m. until time of service at 10:00 a.m. at Deliverance Temple Complex Church of God in Christ.  Interment will follow at Upper Alton Cemetery.  Pastor Stanley Henderson will officiate.  Guest registry is available at: www.harrisonfuneralchapel.com
