Keith Wright

Keith Evans Wright, 88, of Brighton, IL passed away at 11:33 pm on Wed July 20, 2016 at Rosewood Care Center in Alton surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Sandusky, MI on July 14, 1928. He had a passion for flying and was a small plane pilot for 60 years. He was an Army Veteran of the Korean War and had retired from AT&T after 35 years of service. He moved to Godfrey in 1990 where he devoted time to eastern bluebird conservation. He was a member of the Alton VFW Post #1308 Ritual Team and marched in holiday parades with the honor guard until having a stroke in 2010. After all his grand worldly adventures, his greatest accomplishment was accepting Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior in January 2014. This knowledge and assurance redefined his life, eliminated his fear and made him look forward to heaven.  He now rests in peace and has joyously begun his heavenly journey with Jesus. His family is very proud of his being a believer in Jesus Christ, who died for our sins.Keith married Dorothy (Burns) Wright in 2001 and is survived by his beloved wife, his two daughters, Susan Wright & J. Barton and Andrea & Tom Wilhoit. Grandchildren: Carrie Paradine, Trevor, Mitchell and Grant Wilhoit and Kyle Taylor. He is also survived by a sister Erdeen Wright and niece Cheryl & Bill Gardner.
