Edric Wendell Heindricks, 89, passed away 10:15 a.m. Saturday, July 2, 2016 at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis.
Born in Thebes, IL on July 5, 1926, he was the son of Ernest Franklin and "Lula" (Bryant) Heindricks.
A World War II army infantry veteran, he had worked as a laborer out of Local #338 for 35 years before retiring in 1987.
On January 16, 1950 in Bethalto, he married June hardin. She survives.
Surviving also are three sons, James "Wendell" (Vickie) Heindricks of Springstown, TX, Dale Lee Heindricks of Jerseyville, "Willie" Ray (Sharon) Heindricks of Jerseyville; six grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren; and two sisters, Vesta Memeyer of Hartford and LeVeda Cook of Moro.
Preceding in death were his parents; 10 siblings, Willie and Beverly Heindricks, August Englar, Opal Hayes, Neva Smiley, Netta Jereb, Loila Pierce and three in infancy.
Visitation will be from 9 til 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Marks Mortuary in Wood River.
Burial will follow in Wanda Cemetery in South Roxana.
