Lillian Pauline Beckman, 91, passed away at 4:50 am Monday, October 5. 2015 at Integrity Healthcare in Wood River
She was born in Gipsy, Missouri on August 23, 1924, the daughter of William McKinle and Minnie Irene (Younger) Withers.
She married Alfred Gobble and he preceded her in death in 1981. Later she married Narvel W. Beckman on October 29, 1987 in Marble Hill, MO. He preceded her in death on October 27, 2006.
Lillian worked on the assembly line for Bussman Fuse until her retirement.
She is survived by a son, Alfred W. Gobble of Bethalto; stepchildren, Narvel W. and Karen Beckman, Jr. of St. Louis and MO, Joan D. and Robert Plummer of Union, MO; grandchildren, Greg Gobble, Aron Gobble and Jenny Modlin; step grandchildren, Laura Beckman of St. Louis, MO and Lindsey Beckman of Kansas City, MO; nine great grandchildren; two sisters, June Satterfield of Glen Haven and Brenda & Phillip Michael Yates of Moro and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two husbands and a brother, Lindell Withers.
Visitation will be from 9:30 until services at 11:00 am Thursday, October 8, 2015 at Elias, Kallal and Schaaf Funeral Home in Bethalto with Pastor Jon Sander officiating.
Burial will follow at Rose Lawn Memory Gardens in Bethalto.
Memorials may be given to the American Cancer Society.
