He was born on January 25, 1939 to the late Roscoe & Anna Rose (Schafer) Sibley in Kampsville, Illinois.
Paul married Clarice Marie (Cotton) Sibley on July 22, 1983 in Alton, Illinois. She survives and resides at the family home in Piasa.
A United States Army veteran, he was an honor guard at President John F. Kennedy's funeral. He served his country proudly. Paul retired from Shell Oil Company in 1999 after 30+ years. In addition to being a farmer in Kampsville for 60+ years.
He is a once in a life time human being, in which most of us will never meet. Paul did everything right, because he wanted too. Not for any other reason, he excepted people for who they are. He was loved by all that knew him.
Besides his wife, survivors include 2 daughters and spouse; Christine Yates of South Roxana, Robin & Dwayne Arview of Shipman, 1 son and spouse; Chad & Dawn Sibley of Jerseyville; 4 grandchildren; Blake Shoemaker, Erica Mullikin, Jessica Andre & Stevie Legate, 2 great grandsons; Austin & Anthony Andre
Visitation will be from 5:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. on Thursday, May 7, 2015 at Targhetta & Wooldridge Funeral Home in Brighton.
Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Friday, May 8, 2015 at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church in Brighton.
Father William Kessler will officiate
Burial will take place at Brighton Cemetery
